The Team

It is true what they say. . .

the whole is greater than the sum of its parts

We are fortunate to have a passionate, dedicated team.

Without them it would not be possible to work at the level we expect of ourselves.

Nicole Chernyakhovsky

For years, Nicole has been inspired by the beautiful and wild Colorado Landscape. While in quarantine, she devoted time to the design of her own garden, and began to shape plans for a big career shift. She dreamed of combining her long-time passions for design, nature, plants, flowers, and trees with the dependability and relationship-building skills acquired from her business experience. Soon after, her garden drew the notice of her first clients, and not long after, Larkspur was born. With the growth of these clients (and of her garden), also grew the encouragement to instill this love and passion with whomever seeks more life and beauty for their environments.

Nicole Zelyez

Nicole grew up surrounded by fields of flowers, forests and vegetables. Her love of all things green was instilled in her by her grandmother, Violet. This early exposure to the wonders of gardening not only imbued her with a profound appreciation for plant life but also equipped her with exceptional skills in horticulture.

Nicole’s approach to landscape design is deeply collaborative. She excels in working alongside her clients to craft a shared vision that not only reflects their desires but also enhances the natural beauty of their environment. Her designs are thoughtful compositions of color, texture, and structure, mindful of both aesthetic appeal and the functional benefits of each plant, including their medicinal properties. Her goal is to transform each client into not just a garden owner but a true plant enthusiast.

Eva Schoenholz

Eva’s love for the outdoors began long before her first landscape restoration job. She grew up on a working cattle ranch surrounded by endless rolling hills, every day discovering a new plant growing in a crack in a barn, or an interesting insect under a rock. This experience instilled a reverence for nature that influences the way she approaches the world today. When she does ceramics, takes photographs, cooks a meal with friends, or goes for a hike, she does so through a lens of sustainability and environmental ethics.

She went on to study Environmental Science and has supported research projects on ecological restoration techniques and seed germination processes. Though her degree was scientifically rigorous, she has since rekindled her long-standing innate artistic creativity. These days, Eva is an avid potter, film photographer, and fiber artist. She is thrilled to combine her experience in landscape restoration and customer service along with her passion for clever design and healthy ecosystems in her role as Junior Horticulturist.
